Momudaughter is originally from Maryland. Daughter was only a year old when we moved to Florida. Here are some of the places we’ve explored in MD on recent visits to the state.
OCEAN CITY
For every kid growing up in Maryland, Ocean City is The Beach! While in Ocean City, MD you will find boardwalk, sun and sand, lots of food and entertainment all in one place.

SALISBURY, MD
My youngest brother, and one of Daughter’s Uncles goes to the University of Salisbury. We visited him a few times last year and got to explore the small town. A couple of the attractions we found while there was a little FREE zoo. Next door there’s a nice playground called Ben’s Red Swings.

SOPHIE & MADIGAN’S PLAYGROUND OFF BUTTERFLY LANE
Butterfly Lane looks nothing like it did twenty years ago when I first started traveling the road as a teenager after my parents moved our family of six to Frederick, MD. Lots has changed on Butterfly including the school, the complete closure of one access point to the road, added stop lights and traffic circles and the newest addition, a multiple million dollar playground located at Butterfly and Himes. I just learned it’s a Memorial playground for two little girls. Despite all the changes to Butterfly Lane, this playground is a beauty and quite a little dream land!

BAKER PARK
Baker Park is also a place I frequented often in my young adult life. It’s within walking distance from the high school I went to. Actually the school is literally in the middle of baker park. There are playgrounds, walking paths, fields and lots of scenery and views of Downtown Frederick found at Baker Park.

SOUTH MOUTAIN CREAMERY
When I was a teenager my mom used to order milk from this Middletown, MD farm. We visited last year and got to feed animals, ride a hayride, explore the farm and try some ice cream.

BWI AIRPORT
We did a handful of airplane trips to and from MD last year. We discovered there is a play area for the kids at the airport. You’ll find it to the left after getting through security, then straight down the hall you’ll see the play area on the left.
